Nov 13, 2017: ICYM Bajjodi had organised the great event FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT- 2017 on 29th October, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. in the Paduva High School Grounds, Nanthoor, Mangalore. The Parish Priest Fr. Shabas Crasta, ICYM Director Fr. Ivan Dsouza, the Guest Of Honour Fr. Wilfred Rodrigues, the Vice President Mr. Joseph Mascarenhas, the secretary Mrs. Irene Pinto, ICYM President Ms. Jewel Fernandes, the tournament convenor Ranish and the parishioners as well as ICYM members had gathered for the inaugural ceremony.
The ICYM President Ms. Jewel Fernandes welcomed the gathering. The chief guest Fr Wilfred Rodrigues and the Parish Priest Fr. Shabas Crasta inaugurated the tournament. Fr. Wilfred delivered a message and wished well for the tournament.
About 38 parishes registered for this event, the Gurupura Parish were declared winners and Bajjodi Parish as runners up. The Parish Priest Fr. Shabas Crasta and the ICYM Director Fr. Ivan Dsouza honoured the winners with the trophy and cash prizes. At the end ICYM Sports Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
We the ICYM members are grateful to our Parish Priest, Assistant Parish Priest, Parish Council members, Altar Servers, all the sponsors, parishioners and all who had been a helping hand throughout the event. Indeed it was a great success.
