Infant Mary church, Bajjodi, conducted 3 day parish children’s camp from May 1-3. Around 60 children participated in the camp from 4th std to 10th std. The camp was organised under the leadership of Fr Joachim Fernandes, diocesan SCC coordinator. He was assisted by Precilla, the parish clergy, the Parish pastoral council members, Gurkars and animators from different parish wards.

Each day the camp began with honouring the Bible and with many Biblical songs and hymns. During the 3 day camp many things were taught to the children such as how to conduct a SCC prayer ward zamat, leadership skills, reading and writing the Bible in Konkani, Biblical action songs. Enactment of Biblical episodes and life of Biblical personalities etc.

The camp concluded with the Homage to the Bible and blessing, distribution of prizes to the four group leaders and individual achievers. Many Children shared that it was a fruitful and educational camp. It brought all the children of the parish together and such camps should be organised every year. Finally we thanked Fr Joachim Fernandes, the sponsors and the entire organising team.
