Oct.16th: Infant Mary Parish organized “YUVASANGAM 2016" for the youth on October 16 in the Parish hall. All the youth came together under one roof for this unique event.
The programe began with the Eucharist, celebrated by Fr. Ivan D’souza. Soon after the mass the program commenced with a prayer led by Fr. Ivan D’souza in the parish hall. The event was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Shabas Crasta presided over the function and in his address encouraged the Youth to exhibit their talents and make use of the opportunities given to them. Parish ICYM president Arun and PPC secretary Irene Pinto were present on the dais.
After the stage programme Director of Canara Communication Centre Fr. Richard Dsouza, took session on emotional maturity of youth and internet safety. Later Ms. Melreeda Rodrigues gave a session on goal in life, Importance of ICYM, what we need to do strengthen our youth movement. She also conducted games and group activities. After the sessions Avin and Joanita conducted the games.
David thanked each and everyone for making this event a grand success. More than 60 youth participated in the Yuvasangam.
On the whole, YUVASANGAM was a combination of message, knowledge and entertainment. The programe ended with a sumptuous meal.
