31 Jan 2016: The Annual feast of Infant Mary was celebrated on 31st Sunday. The main Sponcers (firjenth) Prakash and Jyothi Saldanha, were welcomed and taken in a procession to the church along with brass band. Thereafter, the festal mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Charles Serrao, OCD Provincial. Homily was preached by Rev. Fr. Prakash D’ Cunha on the theme “He has shown mercy; so that we become merciful”. 14 Carmelite Priests were present and one capuchin Priest. Deacon Steven Lobo was also present.

Cultural Evening :

The cultural evening organized by cultural committee marked the oneness of the parish. It was held at 6.30. Fr. Charles Serrao, OCD Provincial, was the president and Fr. Melwin D Cunha was the guest of honor. Mr. Joseph, vice President, welcomed the guests and the gathering. Mrs. Irene Pinto presented the annual report. Fr. Melwin congratulated and distributed the prizes to the winners of various events organized in the year. After which 5 achievers and rare talents of Bajjodi were honored by Fr. Charles, Fr. Shabas, Fr. Melwin and Fr. Jossy, with a shawl, memento and flowers. Mr. Joseph, vice president,Mrs Irene Pinto,  secretory and Mrs Ashritha, convener of cultural committee were present. Fr. Jossy thanked everyone present.

Thereafter cultural programme began with a melodious Song by Lancy Moras, along with Muralidhar Kamat and Anita D’ Souza, well-known Konkani Singer. Songs and Jokes were presented by Parish youth and children. A comedy Konkani play was staged by parish kalakars, which was written and directed by Claud D’ Souza.

Mrs. Evita and Awin Cutinha compered the whole event.
