Dec.30th, 2016: We began the celebration by coming together around the altar of the Lord at 6 p.m. to thank the Almighty for the numerous blessings that He had showered upon Fr. Shabas Crasta. Fr. Shabas Crasta presided over the Eucharistic celebration along Regional Vicar of Tanzania, Fr. Marlon Rodrigues, Fr. Raymond Santhanaz, Fr. Sunil Menezes, Asst. Priest Fr. Ivan concelebrated in the Eucharist. Fr. Ivan D’souza broke the word of God enabling us to reflect on the theme Focus on Family life.
Soon after the mass a short felicitation programe was held in the parish hall. Fr. Ivan D’souza and Parish secretary Irene Pinto enumerated and acknowledged the contribution of Fr. Shabas towards the parish. All the parish association members felicitated Fr. Shabas Crasta with the colourful bouquet. After the Birthday Cake was cut Fr. Shabas thanked everyone for the whole hearted collaboration and co-operation. Vice President Mr. Joseph Mascarenhas compered the programe and proposed the vote of thanks.
The whole day was awesome, hats off to all.
