Dec. 24th, 2016 : Christmas is a time for sharing and friendship. It was celebrated with devotion and gusto at Infant Mary Church Bajjodi. The festal Eucharistic celebration was held at 7.30 p.m. and parishioners gathered at the church for the Holy Mass in Konkani which was concelebrated by Parish Priest Fr. Shabas Crasta and Asst. Fr. Ivan D’souza - Director of Pastoral Institute, Bajjodi Rev. Fr. Peter D’souza, was the main celebrant.
Fr. Ivan D’souza in his homily, exhorted the faithful to follow in the path of Jesus Christ and said that, "God sent his Son to convey His message to us. We must live together as god's children. Jesus Christ died for us, which indicates how much he loves us, and so we must love each other. We must inculcate Christ's message in our daily life, live like him, follow him and abolish discrimination between the rich and the poor. We must treat everyone equally".
After the mass auction and housie was conducted in the parish hall. All the people exchanged Christmas wishes with each other. The Christmas joy was shared by distributing Christmas cake to all the faithful. There were around 600 people who witnessed the celebration.
May Jesus who was born in the manger come to the lives of all the faithful in this Holy Christmas season!
