May 15, 2016, Bajjodi: KAVITHA TRUST and ‘NAMAN BALLOK JESU’ konkani monthly jointly organised a poetry session, named “KAVITHA BHINGARI” for children on Sunday evening in the Church Hall. Many children from bajjodi parish and a few from outside bajjodi participated in the poetry session. Children presented selected poems of various poets of konkani and later on also presented a skit on a poem of a renowned poet Andrew L. D’ Cunha. John M. Permannur had directed the same.
During this same occasion Fr. Steven Pereira, editor of Naman Ballok Jesu, was felicitated for his immense support for konkani poetry in the Konkani monthly.
Poetry session for Elder Poets was led by Fr. Jocy Siddakatte. Poets like, Andew L D’ Cunha, Wilson Kateel, Melwyn Rodrigues, Naveen Pereira, Felcy Lobo, Alwy Danti and Roshu Bajpe presented their poems.
Vincy Anjelore compered the whole programme and Fr. Steven thanked all poets gathered.
