Senior Citizens' Day was celebrated at Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi on Sunday October 7th, 2018.

The program began with the Eucharistic Celebration. Rev. Fr Ivan D’souza celebrated the solemn mass at 9.15 a.m. and preached an inspiring homily. At the end special prayer service and anointing was held for the senior citizens.

The cultural program began with a short prayer by Fr. Ivan Dsouza. Mrs. Irene Pinto introduced the resource person Dr. Denzil Pinto. He gave an enriching and meaningful insight to the senior citizens as well as on health tips. Later Choir and Carmel wad members entertained the crowd with song and dance. This was followed by games conducted by Mrs. Molly Rodrigues.

On this wonderful day one could witness the enthusiasm and energy of the senior citizens as they celebrated the day that belonged to them. Speaking on the occasion, Fr. Patrick Lobo said, “We are celebrating this day out of joy, and you are the pearls of our parish.” Parish Priest Fr.Ivan D’souza extended a gratitude to all those who contributed in various ways towards making this event a grand success. Mr. Lancy Menezes compered the programme and Mrs. Gracy Rasquinha proposed the vote of thanks. The program culminated with a sumptuous meal. It was appreciated and relished by all.
