Bajjodi, April 06 : It is on Holy Thursday that Jesus had His Last Supper with His apostles and had instituted the Sacrament of the Eucharist.  So, this day commemorates the Day of the Holy Eucharist, a Day of Priesthood and a Day of Love. By saying "I have come not to be served but to serve", Jesus calls us to do what He has done - 'To love and serve others'.

Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi celebrated the Holy Thursday meaningfully. The solemn mass was held at 6.30pm. Fr. Ivan Dsouza was the Main Celebrant. The Eucharist was concelebrated by Fr. Patrick Lobo, Fr. Joseph Cyril Dsouza and Fr. Rayan Pinto.  Large number of people participated in the Eucharistic Celebration.  Fr. Joseph Cyril Dsouza broke the Word of God for the faithful. He spoke on the theme “On the night he was betrayed”.

After the Eucharistic Celebration the Eucharist was taken in procession to the Altar of Repose.  Fr. Ivan conducted prayer service till 8.30pm after which there was hourly adoration that was conducted ward wise till 11.30pm in which people took active part. The choir sang hymns and brought the Spirit of prayer and devotion among the faithful.
