Bajjodi, April 1, 2021 : It was on Holy Thursday that Jesus had his Last Supper with His apostles and instituted the Holy Eucharist. Hence this day is celebrated as a day of the Eucharist, a day of Priesthood and also a day of love because Jesus by washing the feet of His apostles on this day, calls us to do what he has done, that is, to serve others. He set us an example by this humble gesture when He said "I have come not to be served but to serve".

Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi celebrated the Holy Thursday with great preparation and meaning. The solemn mass was held at 6.30pm. Fr. Richard Dsouza was the Main Celebrant and the mass was concelebrated by Fr. Ivan Dsouza, Fr. Patrick Lobo, Fr. Peter Dsouza and Fr. Rayan Pinto. People participated in the Eucharistic celebration in large numbers. Fr. Ivan Dsouza broke the Word of God for the faithful and in his homily, highlighted on the Priesthood of Christ, the Supreme High Priest who once and for all offered a sacrifice of Himself for our redemption. He also gave a call to reveal the Eucharistic mystery, to pray for priests and for vocations in the church.

After the Eucharistic celebration there was adoration till midnight in which people took part faithfully.
