Women's Day was celebrated on 8th March 2023 at Infant Mary Parish, Bajjodi in a unique way on the occasion of 'International Women's Day'. The Celebration began with a Thanksgiving Mass at 6pm celebrated by Parish Priest Fr. Ivan D’souza.

There was a get together thereafter in the Parish Hall. The programme commenced at 7pm with a Prayer Song led by the Association members. Rev. Fr. Shabas Crasta was the Chief Guest of the evening. Parish Priest Fr. Ivan D'souza, Fr. Patrick Lobo, Fr. Rayan Pinto, Mr. Prakash Saldanha Vice President of Parish Council, Secretary Mrs. Elizabeth Pereira, Commissions Co-ordinator Mr. Ronald Goveas were among those present for the programme. President of the Women's Commission Mrs. Meena Pinto welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Shanthi Fernandes read the Annual Report. Prizes were distributed thereafter. Names of the Prize winners were announced by Mrs. Anitha Fernandes Fr. Shabas Crasta, Fr. Patrick Lobo and Fr. Ivan Dsouza in their respective messages congratulated the President and members of Women's Commission and appreciated them for their activities and service to the Parish and Society. A brief flashback of Mrs Magdalene's life was read by Mrs. Gracy Fernandes and Mrs. Magdeline Monteiro was felicitated. A game of Housie was conducted by Rishel Suvarna and Riyana Pinto. The gathering was entertained by lively performances of dance and songs by the members. Mr. Joseph Mascarenhas read out a poem about women written by Felcy Lobo. Mrs. Leena Cornelio compered the programme. Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mrs. Asuntha Mendonca.
